At just 14 years old, Claudienne Hibbert-Smith faced a life-changing reality she was about to become a mother. While many predicted failure, Claudienne declared that failure was not an option. Two decades later, she’s not only defied the odds but built a real estate empire that’s changing lives and rewriting the narrative for women, mothers, and dreamers everywhere.
Today, Claudienne stands as one of South Florida’s most influential real estate moguls affectionately known as the “Ellen of Real Estate” for her magnetic energy, heart for giving, and vision to uplift others through homeownership and legacy building.
“I was moved by people telling me what I couldn’t do,” Claudienne says. “They said I’d be a statistic I said I’d be a success story.”
After becoming a mom at 14, Claudienne refused to let her circumstances define her. She graduated from high school as Vice President of her class and went on to earn her degree from the University of Florida. By the age of 21, she had already purchased her first property and earned her real estate license a bold start that would soon lead to a multimillion-dollar business.
“I wanted to make money, but more importantly, I wanted to make a difference,” she shares. “When I entered real estate, I didn’t see many people who looked like me. That made me even more determined to create space for us.”
Today, she leads The Hibbert Group, a thriving team of realtors and investors, and has founded Hibbert University, her training platform that empowers aspiring agents to achieve financial freedom through real estate.
Redefining Legacy
Now a mother of two her first at 14 and her second at 41 Claudienne approaches life and motherhood with deeper perspective and gratitude. “It’s easier now,” she admits. “I have resources, I have support, and I have wisdom. But the mission hasn’t changed I still want to help others create the life they dream of.”
For Claudienne, legacy isn’t just about wealth it’s about transformation. Her vision extends far beyond her own success: she’s working to close the racial wealth gap, create 1,000 new homeowners, and inspire others to believe that it’s never too early or too late to rewrite your story.
“I want to be the Ellen of Real Estate,” she says with a smile. “To give away homes, fund dreams, and celebrate ordinary people doing extraordinary things.”
As featured on The Purpose of Money Podcast with Acquania Escarne, Claudienne shared how her faith, grit, and strategic mindset shaped her into the powerhouse she is today. Her philosophy is simple yet profound:
“Money matters. It gives us options, freedom, and the ability to help others. My purpose for money is legacy to make sure my children’s children have a start.”
